Admission to the Academy is limited to no more than 60 students per semester in order to maximize the quality of training and personal interaction. Interested prospective students should be physically and emotionally qualified, be of good character and be able to read and write as determined by the Director during the application interview. The Academy does not discriminate against applicants for admission on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, marital status or national origin.




The Academy believes in classes designed so that all students receive total and proper instruction. Enrollment is limited and students are asked to meet the following requirements:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Be a high school graduate and have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
3. Applicant must be in good health and free of any communicable disease. Prior to beginning classes, the applicant is required to provide a health statement signed by a licensed physician, indicating the applicant is in good health and able to participate in the program(s).
4. Submit a signed registration application with a $50 registration fee.
5. Complete a signed Student Enrollment Agreement as required by the State Board Nonpublic Career Education, Florida Department of Education.
6. Have a personal interview with the Director or Executive Director. A telephone interview may be acceptable in certain cases.
7. Financial Aid Applicants must sign the following certificate: Statement or refund / default, anti drug abuse act, statement of updated information and a statement of registration status.
8. For the Nail Technology program, the following conditions must be met:
a. Be at least 16 years of age.
b. Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or pass an ability to benefit test "Wonderlic Basic Skills Test" with the following scores: A combined score of 200 for Verbal Skills-1 and Verbal Skills-2 and a score of 210 in the Quantitative Skills.
c. Or have an interview with the Director of Training.
9. For the Cosmetology program, the following conditions must be met:
a. Be at least 16 of years of age.
b. Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or pass an ability to benefit test with a score 200 for Verbal Skills-1 and Verbal Skills-2 and a score of 210 in the Quantitative Skills.
